The 4th Annual Mardi
Gras Tour, rides on February 28, 2009. The online registration has now closed, but walk-ins are welcome at our two check-ins
for this tour. The fee to register at check-in is $80, cash or check only. If you have any questions just email
us. We still have a few jerseys left for $65 in each size and you can reserve one to be picked up at the check-ins
by emailing us.

The 2009 Mardi
Gras Tour rode on February 28 and it was another great ride for Ventura Velo. The weather was great and we have gotten many
positive responses from the riders on the ride and the Mardi Gras Party.

The Greek at the Harbor is again hosting our fine after ride dinner and
party on Saturday afternoon from 12:30 to 4:30 PM. J.T.Whitney & the Zydeco Zippers will be playing. The Greek will also
host the early check-in between 6 and 9PM on Friday, the 27th and you can get a great carb load dinner while there for $15.

Form a Krewe
and ride in the Mardi Gras Tour. The best costumed Krewe wins a prize. The picture above shows a winning Krewe, The Hula
Hos.

The routes
feature the same great SAG support and lunch will be served on the century and the metric routes. There are 4 other rest stops
where lots of goodies to eat and two kinds of sports drinks will be previded.

Boysenberry Short
Cake, aka Anne, dressed for the ride and you can too. Short Cake is registered to ride again this year. Come join her in
a costume that you can ride in and let the good times roll! Come to the Mardi Gras Tour in costume and you could win a prize,
too!

If you are
concerned about the weather, don't
forget that if the Mardi Gras Tour gets rained out, you can get a rain check to ride in the next Three Harbors
Tour, which will ride on July 11, 2009.

Velo, shown above, and friends support this tour and will be providing SAG all along the routes.

All pre-registration
has closed for this event. You can still walk-in and register for an $80 fee at the two Check-ins.

This tour is
an obey all traffic laws ride and you must wear a helmet or you will not be permitted to start the ride. We
recommend that you also have lights on your bike!
